These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of MacroChef, including the MacroChef mobile application, website, services, subscriptions, AI features, and related tools.
By using MacroChef, you agree to these Terms.
You must be at least 9 years old to use MacroChef. If you are under the age of majority in your location, you may use MacroChef only with permission from a parent or legal guardian.
MacroChef provides nutrition, meal planning, food logging, grocery, macro tracking, restaurant quick log, saved meal collection, coaching insight, and AI-assisted meal generation features.
MacroChef is designed for general wellness and informational purposes.
MacroChef does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
Nutrition targets, calorie estimates, macro recommendations, AI-generated meals, food scan results, allergy filtering, and coaching insights are estimates only.
You should consult a doctor, registered dietitian, or qualified healthcare professional before making major diet, fitness, health, or weight changes.
MacroChef may use artificial intelligence to generate:
AI-generated content may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, unsafe, or inappropriate for your personal needs.
You are responsible for reviewing and verifying all AI-generated content before relying on it.
MacroChef may allow you to store allergy and dietary preferences. The app may attempt to avoid allergens in generated meals.
However, MacroChef cannot guarantee that meals, ingredients, restaurant items, or AI-generated suggestions are allergen-free or safe for you.
You are responsible for checking ingredients, labels, restaurant information, cross-contamination risks, and food safety.
Photo-based food scanning, nutrition label scanning, and ingredient recognition may be inaccurate. Lighting, image quality, serving size, packaging, and model limitations can affect results.
You should treat all scan results as estimates.
You may need an account to use some features. You agree to provide accurate information and keep your login credentials secure.
You are responsible for activity under your account.
MacroChef may offer paid subscriptions through Apple in-app purchase.
Subscription details, prices, durations, and included features will be shown before purchase.
Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
Payment is charged to your Apple ID account. You can manage or cancel subscriptions through your App Store account settings.
MacroChef may offer free trials, promotional access, founder access, or promoter access. We may modify or discontinue promotional offers at any time unless prohibited by law.
If a free trial converts to a paid subscription, Apple will disclose the billing terms before confirmation.
MacroChef may provide certain users with founder or promoter status.
Founder or promoter benefits may include paywall bypass, promotional access, or other benefits. These statuses are discretionary and may be changed or removed if abused, misused, or granted in error.
You agree not to:
You may submit profile data, food logs, images, meal preferences, grocery items, allergy selections, saved meals, and other content.
You retain ownership of your content. You grant MacroChef a limited license to process it as needed to provide and improve the app.
MacroChef, including its design, branding, software, interface, graphics, and features, is owned by us or our licensors.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or exploit MacroChef except as allowed by these Terms.
MacroChef may rely on third-party services, including Apple, Adapty, Supabase, OpenAI, and others.
Your use of third-party services may be subject to their own terms and privacy policies.
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. We may update the app to improve functionality, security, design, or compliance.
We do not guarantee that MacroChef will always be available or error-free.
We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, misuse the app, create security risks, or use the service unlawfully.
You may stop using MacroChef at any time.
MacroChef is provided “as is” and “as available.”
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, reliability, availability, and non-infringement.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MacroChef and its owners, developers, service providers, and affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages.
This includes damages related to nutrition decisions, AI-generated content, food allergies, food safety, inaccurate estimates, subscription issues, app downtime, or data loss.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold MacroChef harmless from claims, damages, liabilities, losses, and expenses arising from your use of the app, your content, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of law.
If you download MacroChef from the Apple App Store, Apple is not responsible for MacroChef. Apple may be a third-party beneficiary of these Terms where required by App Store rules.
Subscriptions are managed through your Apple ID account.
These Terms are governed by the laws of [The United States], without regard to conflict of law principles.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
